Mega Man 10 Review

Mega Man is one game series that´s been with me my whole life. Starting from Mega Man 2 which was one of the first games that I played to Mega Man legacy collection. Mega Man 1-4 was awesome, 5 and 6 not so much, 7 and 8 kinda sucked however Mega Man 9 was awesome so my hopes for number that was pretty high. And I can´t say that it failed to live up to my high hopes. This is all an old school Mega Man fan would want in a Mega Man game, sure some of the bosses are kinda wierd (looking at you Sheep Man) but in the overall it´s an awesome game.

So the story for the 10th time are that there are a virus which only affects robots (I think) and there´s no cure except for some that our dear Dr. Wily has. Anyway Mega Mans pal Roll (I think that´s her name) gets sick and it´s up to Mega Man to save her and the rest of the world by putting an end to Dr. Wilys plans.

This time around there is still 8 robot masters (bosses) and they are all unique in their presentation and mechanics, and it never gets old spanking some bad robot masters. The game is really challenging for newcomers, however this time the developers have added a difficult setting but the easy setting is only recommended for newcomers cause it will prove no challenge for Mega Man veterans. You can also play as Bass and Proto Man, they both have different attacks than Mega Man and should prove enough challenge for oldcomers as for newcomers.

Something that´s always been good in Mega Man games are the music and man Capcom still got it, it´s fresh but it feels old (in a good way) with the 8-bit sound. The environments differs from all 8 robot masters (and Dr. Wilys castle) with alot of detail.

Overall: 9/10
Verdict: This is a true tribute to an old franchise, takes what made the old games great and did something new with it. If you have a sweet spot for Mega Man then this is the game for you.
