My first impressions of Doom!

Okay all so I have just spent 3 or 4 hours in the new Doom game and my impressions are... Well how should I put it without sounding like a crazy person... Happiness.

I have been shooting, smashing, chainsawed through enemies and blown them to pieces. Nothing that hell throws at me has been able to put me down. One new mechanic is that the player can finish off enemies with a cool looking melee attack, kinda like smashing the demons head with its own feet or kneeing the demons head so it explodes. The other new thing is with the chainsaw, instead of being unlimited melee weapon that looks kinda cool it's a fuel driven weapon which takes a certain amount of fuel to kill the enemy depending on how big it is. Of course it's a insta kill and it drops ammo for all weapons however the amount of fuel ain't that much, you start of by having only three "charges" but you can of course upgrade it. And speaking of upgrades you can now upgrade doom guy both your armor which powers up your abilities but also your weapons.

There seems to be a sh*tload of hidden stuff such as hidden rooms and collectibles. I haven't even been able to find everything in even one level which is freaking awesome. And the story is kinda like the usual thing, Mars gets invaded by hell because some humans experiment and its up to mr. Doom guy to stop the invasion. I really hope the story is longer than just 7 hours which is what most fps games story are.

This game does the same thing as doom 3 did, it takes the things that made doom into the game that people loves but does it own thing with it. So far I really enjoy playing this game.
